Tammy S Crossman
Tammy was raised by her mother in the suburbs
of South Australia, Australia. Creativity was
encouraged in the home and Tammy thrived.
At the age of 3 years, Tammy was drawing little
ghost pictures on the walls of the house, as she
loved the cartoon "Casper the friendly ghost".
At the age of 5 years, Tammy decided she
would like to start a lemonade stand.
Doing just that, Tammy hand painted the signs
and set the stand up out the front of the family
home.
The local council then shut it down, when
the lemonade began to sell to the locals.
It was then that Tammy began to write poetry,
which she continues to do today.
Her work has been published in a couple of
anthologies, through Nobel House Publishing
and has published an Aussie poetry book and
two children's books.
In her mid twenties Tammy started carving old
wooden coffee tables with a stanley knife ( box
cutter ) and after a few stunning creations, the
process took a toll on Tammy's hands and she
had to stop carving.
In 2000 Tammy started to paint and loved it! A
large family keeps her very busy but she always
makes time to pick up a brush. Tammy is a self
taught artist and has a current portfolio of 15
paintings, all in a different medium and genre.
Tammy was also commissioned to paint animal
portraits and a canvas for a primary school
social hall.
18 months ago Tammy joined hubpages and
it was a very rewarding experience, enjoying
the lovely feedback from her followers :) Hub
pages has certainly become a bit part
of Tammy's life. Her hubs have been read over
1000 times and Tammy is very close to hitting
the 5000 mark.
Tammy currently has two manuscripts on the
go, which she is working hard to complete. Over
the past few years Tammy has also discovered a
passion for history writing. This has lead to a
very intense research project, which has been
ongoing for the past two years. Tammy is
looking forward to the completion of this
manuscript.
Tammy has worked under the pen name; "Tassie
Stuart". Her nick name is "Skellie", which you
will find her using quite often. Known as Skellie
on hub pages, Tammy is the very proud mum
of 4 wonderful kids, ages 23, 20, 11
and 3.
